Idaho Kellogg Murder Case: Four individuals were discovered shot to death inside a residence in Kellogg, Idaho, on Sunday evening, and a 31-year-old neighbor has been apprehended on reasonable grounds as a suspect in their homicides.
Lieutenant Paul Berger of District 1 Investigations stated, “This is a tragic situation that will deeply impact the Kellogg community. Our detectives are diligently working to establish a timeline and determine the factors that led to the shooting.” According to KREM, he further added, “As this case progresses through the judicial process, we are ensuring a comprehensive investigation that covers every aspect.”
Authorities have chosen not to disclose the identities of the victims until the coroner’s office completes its procedures. Likewise, the suspect’s name will not be revealed until his initial court appearance, which is expected to take place on Tuesday morning, as reported by KXLY.
The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office informed that deputies and officers from the Kellogg Police Department promptly responded to the residence shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, where they discovered the deceased victims, all having sustained gunshot wounds.
“The suspect has been apprehended, and there is no danger to the community,” stated the sheriff’s office in a released statement.
No further details have been disclosed by investigators, including potential motives or the nature of the relationship between the suspect and the victims.
KREM confirmed that one of the victims was an employee of Mountain Valley of Cascadia, a nursing home and rehabilitation center located just a few steps away from the crime scene.
