After deputies sought to talk with Mobley on January 3rd about a $4,000 stolen boat, officers said that Mobley managed to flee from them down Sparrow Road in Holt by diving into a marsh next to the Yellow River.
Mobley was on the boat when police arrived at the scene, but he jumped over the side and disappeared into the swamp to avoid being apprehended.
Investigators claim that on January 1, Mobley broke a hole in a metal building at a business close to Highway 4 in Baker in order to steal the vessel.
