Adam Seiko, the college basketball star, was born to parents Patrick and Saira Ariko, who originally hail from Uganda and have Ugandan roots. Adam and his younger brother Arthur spent their childhood in Uganda before the family migrated to the United States in search of better opportunities.

Seiko’s parents played a significant role in shaping his life and career, even in the face of difficulties adjusting to a new culture and learning a foreign language. Despite these challenges, both Seiko and his parents remained committed to his development both on and off the court.

According to an article in the East Village Times, Seiko’s mother, Eva Saira Ariko, was pregnant with Adam when the family moved to the United States in 1997. They settled in Boston within a Ugandan immigrant community.
