Jordan Ellan Harmon And Sebastian Coleman Murder Case: What Happened? Trial Update 2023
After a grand jury indicted them this week, a man and woman charged with murder in the death of a 15-month-old Alabama boy in 2021 will finally face trial.
According to WHNT, Jordan Ellan Harmon, Knox Wilson’s 28-year-old mother, and Travius Sebastian Coleman, 30, were dating in April 2021 when the toddler died in a hospital. Harmon was arrested in September on a charge of aggravated child abuse and released on a $60,000 bond.
When autopsy results revealed that the boy died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and other injuries, Coleman and Harman were arrested again in January 2022 and charged with murder, aggravated child abuse, and chemical endangerment of the child — the latter charge based on a toxicology report that revealed the “presence of compounds” similar to those found in cannabis in the boy’s system.
According to court filings, the pair is accused of “shaking, hitting, striking, or otherwise inflicting serious injury” on the toddler and “inflicting blunt force injuries on more than one occasion” by the Lawrence County grand jury. According to the records, the couple “tortured, willfully abused, cruelly beat, or otherwise willfully maltreated” the youngster.
Harmon was also charged with “refusing to seek medical attention… for having serious injuries that required medical attention and treatment on at least three separate occasions, including but not limited to injuries to his head, arm, and groin area.”
