Monico Galban Murder Update

Monico Galban Murder Update Law enforcement authorities in southern Florida are appealing to the public for help in finding a 19-year-old man who is accused of fatally shooting a 27-year-old father in front of his mother and 1-year-old son last month. The suspect, Monico Galban, is wanted for first-degree murder in the killing of Jose Guarjardo, as announced by the authorities.

According to press releases issued by the Miami-Dade Police Department and Crime Stoppers, the incident took place on May 29 at around 12:18 p.m. in Homestead, Florida. Guarjardo was outside his residence on the front lawn, located in the 500 block of NW 3rd Avenue, along with his mother and young son when Galban allegedly approached on foot and fired multiple shots at him. Following the shooting, Galban fled the scene, according to the police.

First responders arrived shortly thereafter and transported Guarjardo via airlift to the Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition. Tragically, despite medical efforts, Guarjardo succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on June 3 at 3:05 p.m.

Henry Carrillo, who was reportedly in the vicinity at the time and heard the gunfire, spoke to Miami NBC affiliate WTVJ about the incident.

“There is one person that I know, and he has told me that his car was riddled with bullets,” Carrillo added.

The motive behind the shooting has not been disclosed by the authorities. When contacted by Law&Crime for further information regarding the circumstances of the incident, the Miami-Dade Police Department did not immediately respond.
