Police said that the perpetrator pulled a gun during an argument between two women and shot both victims many times. McMahan is scheduled to appear in bond court on Wednesday.

A 36-year-old man is allegedly responsible for a double shooting in River North last year that left one sister dead and another injured, according to Chicago Police.
Jason McMahan is accused of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and issuing a warrant.
Tashawnna Anderson, 26, was shot and killed by McMahan on April 30 shortly after one in the morning, according to CPD. LaShawn Anderson, 31, also suffered significant wounds.
The sisters were present inside the 10Pin Bowling Lounge in River North when Tashawnna Anderson allegedly witnessed her friend’s boyfriend with another woman.
Later that night in the 300-block of North State Street, Tashawnna Anderson and a companion went outside to confront the boyfriend.
The man allegedly punched LaShawn Anderson’s cousin to the ground as he turned to face the two sisters after emerging from the car’s passenger side.
Both of them could reach the other right where LaShawn Anderson allegedly tried mightily to save her sister’s life.
She yelled, “He shot me. He murdered me, she said. To halt the bleeding, “I was putting pressure to her wound.”
Because the alleged shooter was left in a car, Tashawnna Anderson was unsuccessful.
“Why did you murder my sister? She made no attempt to refute him! She wasn’t even arguing with him. She stood up for her friend. According to LaShawn Anderson at the time.
She told me to tell her daughter that she is loved. After then, she stopped breathing.
LaShawn Anderson had just witnessed her sister take her last breath when she was shot in the thigh, leaving her with the barest of mobility.
Where Is He Now: Is He In Jail?
He is being held by the police at the moment, but no other information about him was released because the situation is still quite delicate.
We do, however, know that the killer will be brought before the court on Wednesday, and because of this, we hope he will receive the harshest possible punishment for destroying the life of an innocent girl.
