Poole Driver Lewis Clark Arrested For The Death Of Courtney White

According to a hearing on January 13 at Bournemouth Crown Court, Clark, who was 19 at the time, didn’t have a license and hadn’t driven for at least a year prior to the collision.

Judge Robert Pawson stated that Clark’s “want to show off” was what drove his conduct.

The prosecution, Stuart Ellacott, testified in court that Clark, who had no prior convictions, met up with some companions the night of the collision and “swapped” his motorcycle for a friend’s Ford Fiesta.

After that, the party left a gas station on the A3049, and Clark started driving quickly to keep up with two pals who were riding motorcycles next to him.

According to the court, the driver then lost control and drove across the street toward the pavement before hitting the kerb and hitting Miss White from behind. He ran into a lamppost as well before returning to the road.

The court found that Clark and the other three passengers left the vehicle and sped away without looking after Miss White.

Judge Pawson observed, “They need to hang their heads in shame.”

Despite their best efforts, first responders could not save Miss; she was declared dead at the site. The court heard that she had fatal head and neck injuries.

Clark and his friend revealed to the police how the automobile was taken at knifepoint soon before the collision when they located the owner of the vehicle.

Despite continuing to lie for some time, Clark eventually turned himself in to the police and acknowledged driving.

When arguing for his client, Tim Bradbury argued that although he “behaved horribly,” he “could not live with what he had done.”
