How Did Missing Christina Morris Die?
The 23-year-old Christina Morris, who had moved from her hometown of Plano to Forth Worth, Texas, to be with her lover, Hunter Foster, seemed to be living a happy life. Although she had visited again during Labor Day weekend in 2014, no one could have foreseen that this would turn out to be her ultimate choice.
After spending a few hours drinking and having a good time with a small group of friends outside The Shops at Legacy on August 30, Christina casually went into the neighborhood garage where she had parked her dependable four-wheeler, never to be seen again.
Three days after Christina was last seen alive, her car was found in the garage, with no sign of her nearby. She had been reported missing. Though there were less leads as to her whereabouts over time, her loved ones and friends still set out every week in an effort to locate her.
After a while of searching everywhere, they mostly concentrated on Anna, a tiny farming community where the residents believed her remains may have been concealed. She was found in a town field on March 7, 2018, when an excavation team came upon her broken skeletal remains. She either had not disclosed the cause of her death or it remained unknown.
Who Killed Christina Morris?
When the police located Christina Morris’ car, they pulled the parking lot security tapes from storage and saw that she had come into the area with a man. He was positively identified as Enrique Gutierrez Arochi, a high school friend, after additional research.
According to friends, the relationship was not close, but he showed signs of love desire that went unmet. Another said that when he offered to accompany Christina to her car after she said she wanted to go home that night, he sounded almost annoyed. Nobody sounded the alarm, and she didn’t appear to be terrified or concerned. Only Enrique took the wheel three minutes after they both entered the garage.
Where Is Enrique Arochi Now?
Enrique Arochi’s defense cast doubt on the DNA evidence and quoted specialists who indicated mobile phone pings couldn’t be relied upon over the course of the trial. After the trial in the fall of 2016, a judge gave him a life sentence in state prison. After Christina’s bones were found, Enrique asked for a new trial, but the Court of Appeals for the Fifth District of Texas in Dallas affirmed the trial court’s ruling.
He is still accused with kidnapping as opposed to murder. As a result, he is currently 31 years old and incarcerated in the French M. Robertson Unit in Abilene, Texas. Although the Department of Corrections’ statistics does not provide a release date, Enrique will become eligible for parole on December 12, 2044.
