Officers from the California Highway Patrol apprehended a man linked to the attacks at a carwash in Torrance on Sunday afternoon before putting him into the LAPD’s 77th jail.
He has been identified as Nathaniel Walter Radimak, 36. He was arrested on two outstanding warrants and for assault with a dangerous weapon.
The bail amount was initially set at $5.175 million.
Radimak’s 2022 Tesla Model X was seized. The culprit was captured on CCTV damaging a car with a pipe on the 2 Freeway in Glendale.
According to the CHP, the arrest on Sunday was exclusively linked to the January 11 attack on the 2 Freeway. The investigation is still underway.
