While receiving a checkup for what is believed to be I’m A Celebrity All-Stars, Paul Burrell received his diagnosis the previous year. He was referred for an MRI scan and more investigation after getting blood test results that showed “very unusual” levels.

Dr. Hilary Jones, who joined Lorraine and Paul on the program to talk about the symptoms of prostate cancer, recommended that all men over 50 obtain a PSA test for the disease.

Paul said that his cancer was on the outside of his prostate, that it resembled a “blister,” and that if it broke, it may spread the illness.

Paul will have surgery in late February and is now receiving accelerated treatment. He has had “enough of support,” Lorraine has assured him, and he has added, “I will get through this.”
