Let’s find out ‘Reality TV Star Josh Duggar Reportedly Can’t Even Keep A Job In Prison’ Since late June, Josh Duggar has resided at the federal prison in Seagoville, Texas. Late last year, the former Counting On star who had received and owned child pornography was found guilty. He was also given a 151-month federal prison term this past April.
The disgraced reality star is reportedly having a hard time adjusting to his new life in prison because he is separated from his wife Anna Duggar and their seven children by hundreds of miles. He just lost his jail position, according to a recent story, after only two short weeks.
At FCI Seagoville, Josh Duggar Is Not The Only “High Profile Prisoner”
After being found guilty, Duggar was brought to the Washington County Jail in Arkansas in December 2021. Then, following his May sentencing, he was moved to FCI Seagoville. The 830-acre facility is defined as “a low security federal correctional institution with an associated minimal security camp and detention center” and is situated just outside of Dallas.
The jail has 1,800 prisoners, and over 40% of them are sexual offenders. In the same residence as Duggar is former Sesame Street composer Fernando Rivas, who is serving a 15-year sentence for child pornographic charges. Chris Epps, the former commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, is another well-known prisoner at the camp. He received a nearly 20-year term in 2017 for accepting bribes totaling $1.4 million.
The Former ‘Counting On’ Star Can’t Keep A Job In Prison
It is a requirement for inmates at FCI Seagoville to attend school or work. Duggar reportedly received a tutoring position in the education department at camp, paying 23 cents an hour. Duggar, however, reportedly lost her job after just two weeks, according to OK! Magazine.
Josh appears to irritate a lot of people since he believes he is an expert. An insider revealed, “I’m not sure why he was dismissed exactly, but I’m sure it had something to do with his haughty demeanor and conflicts with other prisoners.
Duggar, federal prison inmate #42501-509, is visible for the first time in the public in a fresh photo that has surfaced from behind jail walls. He looks to be drinking coffee while seated in a dayroom (common area) of a jail.
But Duggar isn’t dressed in a jail garb. Instead, he is sporting a brown t-shirt and trousers that he purchased from the jail store, along with a lanyard that is attached to his prison photo ID. He has also let his hair and beard to grow out, making him hard to identify.
Josh Duggar’s Legal Team Is Appealing His Conviction
The former Counting On star’s legal team filed an appeal of his guilty verdict and sentence in early October in an effort to get him out of jail. Caleb Williams, a former coworker of Duggar’s at his used car business, was accused of watching the illicit material discovered on Duggar’s work computer.
Williams, who worked at Wholesale Motorcars and was quite tech proficient, frequently used the HP computer and texted Duggar on May 7, 2019, offering to “monitor the lot” for the next week, according to the court document.
In the allegations against Duggar, the petition further said that “law enforcement neglected to adequately investigate Williams as a potential offender.” In a statement of his own, Williams asserts that Duggar is making these accusations because he “wants his freedom” and that this is all “a big PR gimmick.”
The expected day of Duggar‘s release is September 22, 2032, when he will be 44 years old. He won’t be permitted unsupervised access to children, including his own, for another 20 years after that.
