Kanye West’s Account Was Previously Restricted On Instagram
In the past, Instagram had suspended rapper Kanye West‘s account on the grounds that he had broken the terms of service.
A Meta representative claims that Instagram limited West’s account and deleted information from his Instagram page. There was, however, no mention of the content that was deleted or the laws that were committed.
The offenses were committed in response to West’s divisive tweet in which he published a snapshot of a text exchange with Sean “Diddy” Combs. During the conversation, West asserted that Combs was under the control of Jews and that he would use Combs as “an example to demonstrate to the Jews who directed you to call me that no one can intimidate or influence me.”
Following that, an Instagram video was posted by the advocacy organization American Jewish Committee denouncing West for his “incoherent diatribe replete with racist and antisemitic undertones.”
West appeared on Fox News with Tucker Carlson before his post-interview with Combs. In their conversation, West sidestepped the subject of those who dictate to others and asserted that Jewish former White House advisor Jared Kushner brokered Israeli deals for financial gain.
Kanye shared an old photo of himself with Meta’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. “How you going to kick me off Instagram,” he wrote.
