According to reports, Mitchell declared after his sentence, “I accept responsibility for my actions. I shall follow the court’s ruling whether I live or die. I apologize.”
In September, Mitchell was found guilty on 29 charges of abandoning or hiding a dead corpse.
Mitchell was the owner of Seattle-based Future GenX, a body donation company, at the time of his arrest. According to reports, he apparently hired a location in Kent, Washington, “where he was keeping body parts from not less than 9 donors.”
Future GenX shut down in April 2020, and it is said that he transported the body parts from Washington to Arizona in a U-Haul loaded with dry ice.
