Type 2 diabetes, as explained by the Mayo Clinic, occurs when the body becomes resistant to insulin or when the pancreas fails to produce enough insulin.

Tragically, Biz Markie passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 57, while being treated at a hospital in Baltimore. His agent, Jenni Izumi, shared that he passed away peacefully with his wife by his side.

Earlier in the month, there were false rumors circulating on the internet claiming that the rapper had already passed away. However, his spokesperson clarified to Rolling Stone that these reports were untrue, although it was announced that he was in hospice care due to significant brain damage caused by a stroke.
