Even after working on the case for more than ten years, the police have not been able to solve the mysterious murder case. However there have been several ideas and suspects linked to the crime.
The late lawyer was discovered dead at his friend’s residence, shared with Price’s two amorous partners, Victor Zaborsky and Dylan Ward, making them the first three suspects in the crime.
The three men said that Wone had been killed by an intruder, denied involvement in the crime, and was not sexually assaulted.
The police said that a missing blade from a set of cutlery in Dylan’s room was the right size for the crime, which led to speculation, according to Newsweek, that just one person in the house was responsible for the murder.
According to the same source, Price altered his story from stating he found the knife on top of the victim’s body and transferred it to the bedside table to saying he had taken the weapon off Wone’s body, supporting the assumption that all three men were attempting to cover up the crime.

The deceased attorney died as a result of a stabbing and a sexual assault. The instrument used to stab him, meanwhile, was not discovered at the scene of the murder.
According to the reports, the victim was slain inside 1509 Swann Street after being held down, knocked out, and subjected to a sexual assault. The autopsy report states that Wone exhibited no signs of drug use.
The surgical accuracy with which Robert had been sliced further suggested that he had not moved when stabbed.

The George Washington University Hospital reported the late lawyer’s passing on August 3 at 12:24 am.
The initial suspects were the three males the victim was with before the assault, as they asked several sexually explicit questions throughout the investigation. They did not admit to taking part in the murder, though.
Two weeks after the murder, police made a public claim that the crime scene had been changed. During the course of more than three weeks, investigators meticulously searched the rowhouse.
Also, it was asserted in a statement supporting a search warrant for Price’s offices in Washington, D.C., that the vicinity of the victim’s corpse had been cleaned.
The murder case had been handed between three different prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s office for more than a year, but nothing had changed.
