Ex-Cop Chris Hall Found Guilty Of Murder Of His Wife: Arrest And Charges In Detail
When his wife was discovered drowned on June 7, 2007, a former police officer was found guilty of the crime.
When Hall was questioned following her passing, he said that he discovered his wife unconscious in the water and attempted CPR but she did not react.
Cristi was then taken to the hospital, but the doctor claimed that by the time she arrived, she had already passed away.
However, Hall’s first trial ended in a mistrial when the jury was tied 8-4 in favor of finding him guilty, and his first-degree murder conviction came on May 31.
The inquiry revealed that he attempted to kill his wife by attacking her in their Jacuzzi. Hall and his wife were in the bath tube together when the tragedy happened.
First, the victim’s husband drove her head twice into the hot tub’s cement edge, then he tied her wrists and elbows behind her back, submerged her, and caused her to drown.
Hall was ready when he and his wife went back to the hot tub; he may have experienced mental health problems at the time.
When Hall tried to kill her, she was able to make a loud noise that Lindsay Kay Patterson, a neighbor, heard.
While her husband was inside the House, Lindsay claimed to have seen the victim, Cristi, seeming to be face-down in the water in her bathing suit.
As a result, there was an eyewitness to the incident, and everything was looked into. He was then given a sentence of 25 years to life in prison, where he is currently serving his remaining years.
Hall was detained in 2011, so he will serve more than ten years in prison; prior to his sentencing, he was out on a $1 million bail.
