The man who was found guilty in relation to a woman’s death in 1984 is today 68 years old. His name is Clyde Hedrick. When the alleged incident allegedly took place, he was approximately 30, and he was 60 when he was imprisoned.

The Cinemaholic claims that as a young man, he moved from Florida to Texas because fast-paced cities like Houston were growing in popularity.

Hedrick afterwards found employment as a reliable roofer in the building sector. He used to pass his free time in the neighborhood’s bars and clubs.

Hedrick was described as “a good-looking man back in the day” and “considered himself a ladies’ man” in the three-part original series.

Due to a changed Texas rule that enabled convicts to be released after taking time served for good behavior and other criteria into account, Hedrick was released without serving out the entirety of his term last year.

Hedrick was eligible for parole since his conviction was for a killing that occurred in 1984 and the legislation was changed in 1987.

Tim Miller, the founder and director of the search-and-rescue group Texas EquuSearch, was not happy.

Hedrick is currently residing in a halfway house in Houston, according to Miller. But it’s not yet clear whether he’ll stay there permanently.

Laura Miller was similarly kidnapped and killed in 1984; her corpse wasn’t discovered until 17 months later.

In 2014, he sued Hedrick for wrongful death on the grounds that he was to blame for the murder.

Hedrick has not been charged as a result of the lack of testimony, and the case is still pending in Galveston County district court.

Hedrick had a long history of violent crimes, according to court documents that Miller made public, and he had claimed to have killed four to five women in his lifetime.

According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Hedrick was released on mandatory supervision on October 4, 2021, from the Estelle Unit in Huntsville.

Hedrick was sentenced to prison for the death of Beason, whose body was discovered in July 1984 in Galveston County under some trash on a dirt road.

According to court documents, Clyde Hedrick was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for the murder that took place 30 years earlier.

After they left the Texas Moon Club, Hedrick insisted on his innocence and informed the authorities that Beason drowned while swimming.

In the 1980s, a number of brutal murders went unsolved, including those of Heidi Fye and Laura Miller. Miller was located in February 1986, while Fye was located in April 1984.

The identities of two additional women discovered in the “killing fields” in 1986 and 1991 remain unknown. One of the suspects, Hedrick, has not been accused of the killings.
