A weekend altercation at an Auburn Hills mental health facility reportedly led to Jayru Campbell, a former quarterback for Ferris State University, being detained at the Oakland County Jail.
Tuesday marks Campbell Campbell’s 26th birthday, and he posted a video of the confrontation with the local police on his Facebook page. He released two videos of the argument.

Jayru Campbell Arrest And Charge Explained
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office reports that Campbell is now being held in custody at the jail as they prepare charges and an arraignment.
He was incarcerated on Christmas Day, the agency added.
Campbell has had prior encounters with the law. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail on May 30, 2014, as a result of a misdemeanor assault complaint and subsequent plea bargain for the confrontation with a high school security guard.
The football star at the time was a junior who was 17 years old. He was arrested following an incident with his girlfriend during his senior year.
The Free Press was told by sources that Campbell had been seen striking his girlfriend.
After being taken into custody by police from the Detroit Public Schools, he was held at the Detroit Detention Center.
Who Is Jayru Campbell?

Campbell was arrested in January 2014, in the middle of his junior high school year, after body-slamming a security guard.

He was given a seven-month sentence for violating the conditions of his probation, and much of what was supposed to be his senior year of high school was spent behind bars.
In the fall of that year, Campbell enrolled at Garden City Community College after getting his high school diploma online.
There, he continued his football career before moving as a junior to Ferris State. In January 2015, Campbell was freed from prison.
Cass Tech is one of the top prep prospects in the nation after having a stellar prep career at Detroit. In 2016, he helped Garden City Community College win an NJCAA National Championship.
In the previous season, he was responsible for more than 4,000 offensive yards.
He was directly involved in 49 of FSU’s offensive touchdowns from the previous season.
