A spokesman for the program notified the Chicago Tribune that Cheryl Scott was ill and that the rumors about her resignation were “fake.”

After meeting DJ Dante Deiana at a charity event, meteorologist Cheryl started dating the Massachusetts native.
In July 2018, while on vacation in Hawaii, Deiana proposed to Scott.
The two hiked up to the summit of the dormant Haleakala volcano before Deiana got down on one knee. She “totally fainted out,” according to Scott, but she did accept the ring.
He also has a job in the hospitality industry. He presently serves as the partner and entertainment director at Magnolia Cafe + Donuts and FWD Day + Nightclub.
