After being fired in September, Sinisa sought medical attention at Mihajlovic’s hospital.

Mihajlovic, however, did not live to see the 2022 World Cup Finals.

Italian league Serie A paid tribute to him by posting a sincere sorrow on their Twitter account, which read:

Serie A is in deep pain by the passing away of legend, Sinisa Mihajlovic.  

His condition eventually got worse every day in December of this year. The renowned athlete and coach will be missed this Christmas by his loved ones and admirers.
