The death of an Orange County deputy public defender last weekend at a Mexican beach resort was deemed a “unfortunate accident” by Baja California authorities on Monday.
ABC News was notified on Monday by a law enforcement source that there are contradictions in the official account.
Blair, 33, suffered a forehead injury “that would not have been caused by a fall,” the source claimed. The Post has not endorsed the information.
The surprising accusations come after claims that he “was the victim of a horrendous crime” in his GoFundMe by his family, friends, and coworkers.
He was there to celebrate his first wedding anniversary with Kim Williams, a fellow public attorney, at the luxurious Las Rocas Resort and Spa, which is situated about 40 miles south of San Diego.
Elliot Blair’s Death Leaves His Family Devastated
Stella Blair, the mother of California lawyer Elliot Blair, said she is “beyond sad” as the family keeps requesting information from the Mexican government.
Stella Blair, Elliot’s mother, sobbed when she spoke with The Post on Tuesday from her Placentia, California, residence.
She said she had been rendered dumbfounded by the outpouring of love from her son’s friends and coworkers at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office, where he had worked since 2017.
She further added that “each friend can’t believe they have lost him” due to the fact that he had so many pals.
She continued by saying how amazing it was that they all felt like he was their brother. He lifted the spirits of everyone he met with words of encouragement.
Stella also declined to elaborate, adding that the family’s attorneys are looking into the circumstances leading up to her son’s sudden death.
