NLE Choppa was detained on March 29, 2021, a Sunday, in Florida Davie town.
The rapper NLE Choppa was charged with hiding a pistol, carrying Xanax, possessing marijuana, and breaking into an unoccupied property, according to an arrest complaint covered by the South Florida Sentinel and Memphis’ Fox 13.
According to Pott’s arrest report, surveillance cameras saw Potts and another person climbing over a fence at around 2 am while donning ski masks.
The rapper misrepresented what happened, telling Davie Police that he hopped the fence to get a watch from a car in the tow yard.

The rapper was charged by the Davie Police Department with burglarizing an empty building, concealing a firearm, possessing marijuana (20 grams or less) or synthetic marijuana (3 grams or less), and possessing narcotics like alprazolam.
A Police dispatcher was “watching via live video feed,” according to the complaint, when they saw two vehicles come into the tow yard’s secured parking area.
The rapper and the other person “walked around the entire tow yard” after that, according to the arresting officer. Finally, the pair got back into their car and drove off. Officers stopped them in the parking lot of the tow yard.
Officers observed the two as they got out of the car, sitting on top of two weapons: an AK-47 Draco handgun and a Glock 27 with an extended magazine, the report said. The loaded firearms were present, but nobody claimed ownership or knowledge of them.
According to the complaint, officers also found a backpack containing seven grams of marijuana and three and a half Xanax tablets.
As a result, inquiries for a response from an official with the rapper’s label were not immediately met. Unconfirmed reports state that he was released from custody after posting a $4,500 bail.
