But the tale that appears on surveillance footage seems to be different. The victim may be seen moving through the middle between a Spectrum shop and a Walmart entrance. The suspect’s car passes the gas pumps on the opposite side of the Walmart gas station entry, crosses the road, and leaps the curb onto the median.

Before the video, which was given by the Round Rock police, cuts off and continues with the victim laying on the pavement in front of the Spectrum shop, the victim is seen attempting to get out of the path.

The event happened on September 4. The sufferer, who had numerous fractures and dislocated vertebrae at first and was in serious condition, is now stable, according to authorities.

On September 20, Andrea Estwick, 24, was taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.

Estwick and the victim had chosen to split up, according to an affidavit that was submitted in the case, KTBC said. She admitted to authorities that they had gone drinking in downtown Austin on the disputed night. Estwick claimed the victim was hungry on the way home, so they stopped at the Walmart gas station. He got out of the car and started going toward the Frontage Road as they were fighting there.

Estwick informed the authorities that she re-entered the vehicle to pursue him and prevent him from crossing the street. She said that when she approached, he stepped in front of her car and was struck.
